General Ziad Hassan Jazzar is currently the Head of the Special Criminal Investigation Department of the Judicial Police. He is in charge of combating Financial Crime, Money Laundering, Cybercrime, and Crimes of International and Archaeological thefts since 2012. General Jazzar is at present supporting the National Committee in its efforts in combating Money Laundering within the General Directorate of the ISF.

He served from 2005 till 2011 as the Chief of Financial Crimes and Money-Laundering Bureau. He participated in various related workshops on Money Laundering, Financing Terrorism and Asset Recovery in Lebanon and abroad. General Jazzar participated in training sessions with the Financial Action Task Force (FATF- the team dealing with the issue of Financing Terrorism), on the States compliance with the recommendations of the Financial Working Group and was selected as an Evaluator within the World Bank team to assess the State of Tunisia in 2015.

He received several medals including, “Fajr Al Janub”, “Al Wihda Al Wataniya”, the Lebanese Merit Medal (Second and Third levels) and the “Al Arz Al Watani” (Knight and Officer). He has also the Medal of Merit, the Medal of Internal Security Forces, and, a prompt notice from the Director-General and the Leader of Units at the ISF.
